"Nothing is absolute, someone, at some time or another, will always have a slightly different view of things."
As opposites do exist, we can define things as positive and negative, really just representing a reflection of one another. We pass judgment and place labels on these reflections. However, they represent the same functional purpose. Just as your own reflection in a mirror would do exactly as you do, the purpose is the same, but the details of displayable actions, are opposite of the other. Your left-hand movement becoming the right-hand movement of your reflection, and so on.
Each individual position of reflection can be defined as one's truth. We are always 180° away from an arguable truth. As civilization lives under one social, so-called truth, action or trial and error becomes relevant to all, no matter their personal judgment (we are all subjected to the choice of majority per se). As the civilized world develops, the perceptual mistakes will eventually be made, and a change will be developed, to either undo or fix said mistake.
But when civilization finally moves into the position of living within this correction, beyond the days of early development, as many generations would pass, the current perceptive position then looks to cure any current mistake observed by immediate perceptive relevance. Meaning, we are always seeking for a better way of living, to escape the current situations that we were born into. But history repeats itself, only in different details.
Many years ago, we all lived amongst nature. We lived more connected to the Earth, as we all have roots, ancestors who, spoke about or preserved these types of things, especially Native Americans. But today, we have gone so far into the development of man, living in metal or cement structures and eating highly processed foods. Highly processed food for one, we now see is a mistake as it does not promote maximum efficiency or a healthy life.
So now we are all seeking to rise to the awareness of promoting a more functional sustainability that takes us back to our roots, eating more naturally and being more considerate to our environment, Mother Earth. The tables have turned, history has repeated itself and though the details are different, the function is the same. When we lived in nature, for one reason or another we created the world that we currently live in by pursuing a perceptively better life, and we are doing just the same right now. We are repeating the ways of our past, only with the functional details we use today.
Our awareness is not just about what is going on around us, our awareness is also about our personal accountability, but this is not tended to as much as it needs to be. No matter what the excuse is for living life in the fast lane and overlooking personal accountability, it is a problem. If we pay much more attention to that, then perhaps we would be a little bit more mindful about the repercussions of our actions. This is something that we need to preserve for the generations to come, otherwise we will never stop making the same mistakes.
